I didn't have to buy it, my brother finally just let me keep his old game. It has little to no data on it, but I got it free and can basically do whatever with it. Up until right before I had a second card I kept thinking I'd make a second town to play, since my main town is basically complete, but now that I actually have the ability to make this second town I find myself very turned off by the idea. I'm considering just making it a temporary cycle town, and doing some free cycling for people here, since I have my dreamies. If it becomes a cycle town, it'll just be slow and random, as in, I'll just cycle whenever I have time or get bored, and give away free villagers. It'll be random and probably very slow, but a cycle town none the less. I just can't believe how tempting a second town was, until someone basically gave me what I wanted.

Any one wanna persuade me towards one idea or the other?

Maybe both?

Maybe, just for now, keep it as a cycling town or storage or something. If it doesn't seem ideal, don't go for it! Take some time to think about whether a second town idea is appealing or not. Just don't force yourself to do something, it'll make you bored of the game even quicker, I'd think.

Thanks for the advice! I'm probably not gonna touch it for a few days to a week. I'm gonna think on it, and take everyone's advice into consideration.

You could cycle for a while until you've decided what to do? Seems a shame for your game to go to waste. I also couldn't decide on what to do about a second town. Think I've now settled on doing something themed but as I use my second game for a cycling town now, I won't be changing it just yet. I'm going to wait and see if the trading plaza slows down at all after the update. If it does then I will happily close the cycling town and start a new town.
Maybe doing a specific themed town would help give you motivation? Just something totally different from what you have now.
Good luck with whatever you decide, having a second game is fun for all sorts of things :)

Slow cycling and if you feel you want to ale another proper town, go for it :)

Have you watched Stranger Things? A town based on the show.. I wanna do that, but have already done so much in my second town.. That resetting would.. Suck o: But otherwise.. This site could always use another cycling town :)

i think a cycling town is the best choice! you can do it at your own pace. two normal towns might be overwhelming, and with a cycling town you can feel good helping others!

I think start it off as a slow cycle town, just occasionally going on there until you decide what to do. You might enjoy the whole cycling thing and decide to do it permanently or you may think of what you want to do with it on a more permanent basis. Either way just try a couple of things out before actually rushing into anything to see what suits you.

i'd start with a cycle town, and if you get the inspiration to start another town, then you can transition into it!

I'd make it a cycle town, but you don't HAVE to make the villagers free! You can make some profit out of it lol!

I think the 3rd option is a really good compromise. If youre turned off to the idea of starting a second town no need to start it right away. Im sure that motivation will kick in after a bit and for now you can just use it for storage/cycling and then reset when you think youre ready to start a new project

This is true! Then you can use the bells you earn for if you wanted to go ahead with that second town at some point in the future? :)

I've read everyone's replies and viewed the poll. I kinda figured I'd probably end up using the town for multiple things. I appreciate all the advice, but if I do cycle on this second town it will most definitely be for free. I've been playing this game long enough that I basically have everything I want, and have basically met my collectible goals. I'm just gonna collect flowers, most likely. I'm finding less and less need for bells both in game and on here, so I have no need to charge people for things :)
