I haven't played New Leaf in a few months. Want to get back in. Help!

Hey everyone.

I haven't picked up New leaf in awhile. I think I want to start again, but if I do, the animals will not remember me, they could move out, my town is not the best, but it is okay. I have my Museum half full, and my catalog is almost 40% full. Should I start over? I will also miss the holidays from December. I could go back? What do you think I should do?

i wouldn't
just clean up your town etc, if villagers have moved out and more have moved in, it can be like a fresh new town anyway

Oh, and I have my items and all my bells saved, so if I start over, I have my stuff.

Half of me thinks you should restart to get the town you want and the other half thinks you shouldn't restart cause it would be fun, in my opinion, to see the new villagers.

Do you have a perfect town?
Is your town what you wanted it to be in the start?

If you answered No to both of these, you should restart.

Log on and see what's what. If it's not so bad, keep it. If you hate it, find someone to hold your things, and restart.

If you DO restart, see if some of your villagers are wanted :3
You could sell them, and get a better start in your new town

Get them into boxes, and ask people to pay for them. When they've payed, allow them to talk to the villager and the villager should move to theirs

I just did the same thing. I stopped playing in early Nov. and picked it back up right before Christmas. It really isn't that bad! The villagers all remember you and just initially ask you if you are ok because you were gone so long. Because I had the beautiful town ordinance, I didn't lose any special flowers and had hardly any weeds.
