I just had another run in with Serena. Today I went to the fountain and threw in an axe, and through a long series of questions I finally got to one where she said she would give me a present. I thought that finally I was going to get something out of her, but you know what happened? Instead of giving me a gold or silver axe she gave me my regular old axe back. I mean I'm glad she didn't take it, But who gives someone their own item back as a gift?

She's taken my axe about 5 times...

Just given me back my axe about 10 times...

and given me 2 silver axes.

I still haven't gotten a gold axe yet!

Serena is a real pain in the... you know... but that said, if she weren't so annoying, would the gold or silver axe be as cool? I mean, it's supposed to be a rare item. If you get one every time, or even every few times, then there's nothing rare about it.

Still... if I had ANY input into this game... it would be to tell the folks at Nintendo to make her conversation threads less annoying. I mean... JEEZ, how many times to I have to say I NOTICE your EYELASH VOLUMIZING??? How many times do I have to PRETEND I don't notice you butchered your crappy hairdo??? How many times are you going to pretend to give me a golden axe, only to "remember" you don't have any???

Just once... I wish she'd rise out of that fountain with my axe embedded in her skull.
