i wouldn't say raymond's a dreamie, but he ain't bad & i like cats. seeing him does feel like a celebrity at this point though, can't lie (it's all y'all's FAULT!!!!) i did the campsite trick for maybe 2 hours and stumbled upon the business cat. i think he was the 6th smug? i might be categorizing other personalities wrong (i passed up on old keaton that made me sad as i had memories with him, but yeah i'm not planning to have the same villagers as my new leaf island except for like, 2-3 of them)

so yeah, this trick definitely works. i just wanted to share the statistics. and for those who want him so bad, you're gonna waste time when you hunt him on mystery islands once you get those tickets, so why not waste time WITHOUT wasting miles tickets? if you're willing to tt, do it. you don't have to go that far anyway, keep going back to the 1st of the month so the villagers won't think you're ignoring them. you get free hybrids as well as you do so. finally got my purple hyacinths & black roses.

i was looking for sherb, audie & dom too, but i know the chances are low for sherb since i have 2 lazies and i'm not willing to restart friendship with punchy--
below are the villagers i've encountered (not gonna post the dates because they're all around may)
1 Chops (Smug)
2 Kidd (Smug)
3 Canberra (Uchi)
4 Graham (Smug)
5 Wart Jr. (Cranky? i didn't even talk to this dude)
6 Flurry (Normal) this means i won't see her again for quite sometime <3 it's ok though, i have 3 normal villagers
7 Harry (Cranky)
8 Tybalt (Jock)
9 Pate (Peppy -- she's a girl?)
10 Keaton (Smug)
11 Huck (Smug)
12 .....

kinda blessed that i didn't encounter my other dreamies yet because i'd feel awful not seeing them for the next few months on the campsite

i know some of you might hate me because i made some hate posts about him, but deep inside i have a soft spot for all cat villagers <3

Raymond appeared in my campsite as my first smug.

I never understood the hype for Raymond back then. But now i realize.....

i might keep him! i didn't understand it either, felt to me like people just went with the hype? i know some people get him to get bells or tons of nmts but i like having cats around so i'll befriend him. i don't even think i need that much tickets, when i have amiibo cards of my dreamies. i just wanted to have at least 1 of the newly added villagers!

the chances to get a camper is 20% 6 days after your previous camper, so tt for a week. then load game, wait until isabelle says there's a campsite visitor, if there's none tt for 1 day ahead until isabelle says there is. since i don't want to leave the month of may yet, when it's the 29th or so, i return back to may 1st and repeat

If Raymond isn't your dreamie, you just kind of like him, why would you have rejected your dreamies and chosen Raymond over them? I find that kind of funny..

what's funny? i stated that i was on the hunt for villagers that don't have amiibos (whether it be sherb or him), most of my dreamies i actually have their amiibos. not all, but depending if i would have wanted them, or i have too much of that personality already, then i would invite them in or not.
