Until today I hadn't played the game since the day after Thanksgiving(I'm a mail carrier so work is keeping me pretty busy right now). I went into my game tonight and played Nov. 30th. After wandering around and collecting mushrooms and digging up bamboo I headed to re-tail to sell stuff and clear out my bag. When I walked in I noticed something that looked pretty big on one of the tables. I was like what they heck is that? My villagers like to sell big things so it didn't surprise me to see yet another big thing. When I walked toward it to make the screen move up so I could see it I realized it was the sloppy table! I was shocked. I had given up on ever seeing a sloppy item in my town. Merry had put it up for sale(she has none of that set in her house) and it was dirt cheap. I bought it for only 432 bells. I'm figuring it will take a miracle to ever see a second piece. I'll have to wait and see. :)

Not to brag, but I already have 2 pieces. You'll get another one in a couple months, or so I hope. Some say that if a villager does not have enough items to help Re-Tail, then sloppy furniture will go up.

I know the feeling. I found the Sloppy couch in the police station, freaked out, and designed a whole room to go around it in my top floor.

I had Marshal and Alfonso who already had a lot of the pieces came from them so yeah... Though peppy villagers have put them up in retail for me as well... Basically TTing a lot and checking Retail.

I bought the sloppy bed and sloppy clock from Gaston's house.

But now his house is a travesty so I wanna make close to how it was before so I gave him a Sloppy Table and a Sloppy Stereo. He has the table in his house but he got rid of the sloppy stereo. -_- Never again.

I do wanna get the whole cardboard series back in there though and hope he never gets rid of it. (I sent him a minimalist couch and he replaced his cardboard couch but never even gave that to me.)

On my first day playing NL I found a sloppy sofa in one of my trees (after eating my first and only perfect pear to date) and....not knowing the value, I sold it :' (

they're nigh impossible to find, that's for sure. good luck finding more!

I have a perfect pear want it!?

I stole the sofa from Marshal when he had me over last. Feel a bit bad about it though, he doesn't have a couch now...

How do you buy furniture from someone? Or do you mean it was put in Re-Tail? I'm getting Marshal in two days and I may try to con him out of his sloppy furniture. I hope if I send him seashells he doesn't just send any of it into the void.

I FINALLY got the Sloppy Wall and Floor from my Retail. o: I've had around 2 full sets of all the other pieces, plus a couple of extras, but never had the Wall or Floor before now.

Time to make Natsu's house~!

When a villager asks you to come over, once you've arrived you can talk to them until they give you the option of picking a piece of furniture you like from their home.
If they're not too attatched to it, they'll sell you it ^_^

If a villager invites you to their house sometimes they will ask if you are interested in any of their furniture and give you a chance to buy it. They aren't always willing to sell though. For me most of they time they refuse. I read a post that said don't give villagers any furniture or fish and once they start to run out of stuff in their houses to sell they will sell sloppy furniture. It kinda makes sense cause every time I give them stuff, no matter how much they wanted it, it's only as short time before I see it for sale in re-tail.

I wish I'd have known in the beginning how rare the cardboard stuff is too. Sly was one of my original villagers and he had quite a few pieces. Bummer.
