I feel like I'm going crazy

At the end of December, I put all my flowers in storage so I could turn off my beautiful ordinance. Now I'm putting my flowers back, and I swear I have more flowers than I started with. I'm struggling to figure out where some of them go. I have no memory of these extra flowers. I don't know how this would happen though

They're all hybrid flowers. Can villagers plant hybrids?

My villagers plant flowers every day like it's their job. Maybe that's what happened to you

These are all the flowers I have that I don't know where they came from:
2 Blue roses
3 Black Tulips
1 Purple Rose
3 Black lilies
4 Orange lilies
1 orange cosmo
1 Jacob's Ladder
1 white carnation
1 pink carnation

And there are a few regular flowers but I think I might have picked those up by accident. I hope I can figure out where these flowers came from because I am really struggling right now. I'm also missing flowers, but I know I put them up. I put all my flowers in storage. I know I did.

I don't think villagers can plant hybrids but jacob's ladders could have turned up randomly like they do...

Jacobs ladders randomly generate if you have a perfect town.
It's because villagers plant the flowers and they breed.

Its also possible that villagers watered your flowers and they grew hybrids.

Not sure about you, but I was playing hide n seek one day and tilted the camera downwards in order to see through a building, because I couldn't see behind it very well, and I found a pink carnation. I forgot that sometimes when I run outta room I like to hid my hybrids behind big buildings, because they don't match the rest of my town xD
