I have one open space for 13 in-game-days now. Before that, I have had an empty plot for about half a month.

I had ten villagers, I never kicked any of them out. They always left on their own.

Not that I mind. It is easier to find/trade a villager I like that way...But I haven´t had that option at the beginning and never heard others talking about it.

Does anyone experience this too? Is it a bug or a new feature?

I once got a villager from this forum. And of course "normal" trading of furniture, bells, NMTs...

So I am more or less alone with it... Interesting

You usually get a villager from other player's "void" by just visiting their island.

Oh, you mean that. I haven´t traded for a few days. But before I have visited other islands several times a day and also had visitors. So apparently I also don´t get voided villagers.
