I was going to do a big villager hunt on Sunday as I had an empty plot. On my first island I got Erik and couldn’t leave him. He looked so cute and now he has moved in I love his winter cabin

I've been playing through my new island, Finfall, today.
And low and behold, the very first island I visit had Fauna walking around! She isn't one of my top dreamies, but she is someone I will gladly take.

I usually have extremely bad luck with villagers so this was nice to see

Have you had any good luck with mystery islands recently?

Strangely enough Fauna was also my first find on a nook miles island! i've been extremely lucky with nook miles islands, finding 4 out of the 8 new villagers w/o even looking for them...i feel like people would kill for my luck of those 4 i only took 3 (sherb, dom and most recently judy, just to try them out and see what they're all about) the one i left behind was raymond dives for cover. i love cats but the cat villagers are really hit or miss with me...raymond didnt really click with me and i'd already planned on having two other cats sskjksksld. he's also shown up twice in my campsite...twink cat pls leave me be there are many other people out there who want u...

Glad you found her . I was island hopping the other day looking for a new villager, and I ended up on shark island then my next island drop after had Zucker on so I was pretty happy with my luck that day. Made a load of bells and got to find a villager I wanted

Congratulations that’s some amazing luck! I had to buy my Fauna from a lovely person on here.

I haven’t had nearly as good luck, but I did find Sherb on my 21st ticket of a villager hunt. I was originally going to stop at 20 and then I thought I’d try one more! #nevergiveup

congrats! i love Fauna.
personally I had really good luck in the beginning in getting villagers I wanted, i.e. Merengue and Zucker, but that luck has since ran out and everytime I go island hopping I can expect to see Leopald, Graham or Patty at least 5 times each.

I left a plot unfilled early in the game and was regretting not looking for my dreamies but then Marina moved in from my friend's island! My friend actually apologised bc they hated Marina and didn't understand why I was so happy Marina is my next door neighbour now

On my last round of island hopping I was looking for Sherb - I had a list of others I would take. I got Audie with 5 jumps. She wasn't what I was looking for so I passed her by which was a struggle as I know some people like her. I made about 60 jumps with no Sherb or any islander from my list before I got Audie again. Guess it was the dodo's telling me to accept and move along. I won't keep her but its nice to see different faces.

At the start I didn't know how lucky I was because I always found a villager I wanted within about 20 NMT. These days however, I can blow through about 100 NMT and not find any, even if I'm not looking for one specific villager, I have a list of about 10 I would take.

I had a lot of luck on mystery islands early on, especially with the new villagers, (Found Raymond, Sherb, even saw Audie) but lately all the islands have not yielded any good results for me. I have a list of villagers I would love a mile long but I haven't seen any of them on my last searches. Hope my luck hasn't run out!

Aw, Fauna's sweet. I would have been happy to take her, back when I was looking for villagers, but my first normal I came across was Lolly, whom I adore. I also lucked out on my lazy (Filbert) and cranky (Dobie). It's nice when the RNG gods smile on you.
