I Chose Annalisa :)

Hi! I need help deciding on a final dream villager for a Japanese themed town I plan to make in the future.
Here is my current list:
Peppy: Pinky
Lazy: Zucker, Drago
Jock: Genji
Snooty: Greta
Smug: Ken
Normal: Pekoe, Gladys
Cranky: Kabuki
Uchi: none

I have 9 and I'm stuck between Annalisa the normal geisha anteater and Chester the lazy panda cub
My complaints are that I need Annalisa to balance the gender ratio (5:5)
but I need Chester because he is so cute and fits well with the theme. Though another thing is that I already have Pinky, a panda, while I don't have an anteater.

Maybe you all could help me out? :')

After looking them up both, I have to say that I think you should go for Annalisa exactly because for the valid points you raised. She just fits better in your town than Chester does.

I would say to go with Annalisa as pandas don't even exist in wild in Japan. They are native from China. ^^'

Chester is one of the most adorable cubs in the game. I keep hoping he'll show up in my campsite one day. I'm not a fan of Annalisa.

I was about to say Annalise but then I looked at Chester again... He is awesome! There's a very unique feel about him, I mean I know every animal is unique.. But he looks like an ancient panda plush doll, magic and maybe alittle hunted! I think you should choose him!!

Chester was actually one of my favourite villagers and i went on a hiatus for a few months and when i turned on my game he was gone. Super disappointed & counting down the days til i find him once again. But point being i'd pick him, plus imagine all the cute screenshots you can take whenever him and pekoe are next to eachother!!

Hmm, since you already have a lot of lazies I think it's best if you choose Annalisa, because having too many lazies may make the personality really stale. Chester is quite cute though and I can see why a lot of people like him and he'd be a cute addition to your town. I think if you really really feel like you'll like Chester more you should go for him! I'm not a big fan of the anteaters but I would still choose Annalisa for variety. I think you should choose villagers that you think you'll like, because you may not end up liking her or chester and it'll kinda be a waste. But since you seem pretty set on getting one or the other i'd choose Annalisa. She looks pretty cute I guess for an Anteater. Although i'm not sure what part of Japanese culture Annalisa is based on. Good luck choosing though! I'm sure you'll decide between the two of them in good time.

I voted for Analissa simply because you get another female to balance out the gender ratio and either way you are going to get a 3rd villager of normal or lazy and since the lazy dialogue is so specific and strange the normals are slightly less noticeable in repetitive speech. Like someone else posted too, Pandas are Chinese not Japanese so Chester really doesn't fit the theme too well and Pinky is already a panda as well.

I'd definitely have to say Chester - he's one of my originals and is my all time favourite! Love the little guy!

Oh thank you for this!!! I didn't know about that. I wrote Annalise but I meant the anteater! So annalisa it's her name, got it now! 2 villagers with almost the same name... Kinda confusing hehe. I play the game in Italian, the anteater is called annalisa while the horse is Lisa

All of you had very great points and I thank you all for helping me decide!
I am going to go with..., Annalisa!
The reasons I chose her is to balance the gender ratio, adding Chester would give too many bears (Pinky and Pekoe are already in), and to allow myself a variety of different animals. Plus she fits the Japanese theme more accurately. I didn't realize pandas were'nt native in Japan though. XD
I should have done more research, though I originally intended for the town to be more of an oriental theme, a mixture of Chinese and Japanese culture. Either way I will go with Annalisa. Thank you all!
