How to win at theme challenge

Okay, I achieved the goal of getting Gracie. Now I just want to quit. I'm one who does not like matchy matchy all over. I do have complete sets but exotic in one room, rococo in another etc doesn't put me in a category. My points dropped horribly when I put in Halloween items. What exterior/ interior can I qualify for to help me get this out of my system? Why can't it just reflect your personality? I'm lost. Advice appreciated.

For Gracie checks she just evaluates the outfit you have on when you speak to her. What fashion theme did she give you?

Do you actually want the gold exterior parts? There's no reason to even do the challenge unless you want them because that's all you get for it.

I'm not going to bother with it on my main character, I'll eventually start it with my alt because I think the gold door would look good on her house.

I just feel like it's part of the game challenge and I want to accomplish that goal. Could care less about having a gold roof, but would like to say "I did it!"

The best advice I could give is going to this website right here.

Use that website to look up the the eight themes that Lyle mentioned and see which theme has the furniture you like the most. After you've decided, pick the theme and get as much furniture from that theme you can and put it in your house. 110,000,000 points will get you the last golden exterior item. Good luck. Remember that complete furniture series will give you the most points and that the basement is not accounted for.
