As the title says.
Step one:
- put two flowers in the open and diagonal to each other as described below. X is a flower, O is an open spot

Step two:
- ONLY water those flowers that you want to get a hybrid from.
Step three:
- Wait a day, grab your hybrids and repeat!
I've grown hundreds of hybrids this way!!!
Here's a video of how to do it:
In the video I only water one set of flowers for time's sake. In game, you can water up to four sets of flowers and pretty much get a hybrid every time off of every set.
This also allows you to pick exactly what hybrids you want to grow each day. If you don't know what pairing of flowers make which hybrid, this is a helpful guide:

Just, ignore his bit about watering all those flowers and using fertilizer: total time kill for no reason. Growing hybrids other ways is no faster and you will have less control over which hybrids grow.
Also: best to have Beautiful town status so all those other un-watered flowers don't die on you.
