How the heck did the roof turn white? O_O

So, I bought a used copy of Animal Crossing: Population Growing! On Amazon two days ago. It also came with a Memory card. Anyways, the roof on my house just turned white. I NEVER ordered any White Paint. o_o
Does anyone know why the roof is white?

Sometimes when you talk to the animals, they will say something like they have just painted your roof for you, I have experienced this many times in my game and it's perfectly normal.
