I used to be pretty bad at this when I was younger and hardly ever flossed but now it’s part of my daily routine and I floss at least once, or sometimes morning and night. These days my mouth starts feeling horrible if I miss a day.
I floss daily. I never really did it when I was younger, but as I got older and had more issues like cavities, I began to take things more seriously. I wish I had always done so, but I'm glad I started at least. It's a simple thing to do and helps a lot.
daily! and I agree about the floss sticks, it gets the job done so much quicker. with traditional floss u need to pull out so much string and idk it gets messier
This continues to be a struggle for me! I also have horrible bedtime habits (like instead of going to bed, I often will keep doing activities until I just sort of fall asleep out of sheet exhaustion). I think I'm just overly optimistic about how much I can get done in a day! So, I tried all sorts of things to work on this habit, like buying a waterpik, getting a bluetooth toothbrush that tracks how often I brush (but the novelty of these things eventually wears off). I tried a bajillion different types of floss, dental scrapers, got little floss picks/toothpicks/silicone picks which I can stash in all sorts of places (my car, my locker at work, coat pockets) ... but so far I still don't do a good job of tricking my brain into thinking that this is a more important activity. (It's important! It's just that somehow other activities seem to like to take precedent!) I even worked with some dentists once and spent a lot of time looking at bad teeth! (that was motivational for a good while, until again, other life things started to win out. Maybe I need to go back and spend some time there)
Okay, maybe since I'm posting on this forum (trying to get star dust), I should go floss instead
not enough....my dentist and orthodontist would be so ashamed of meeeee to be fair, my teeth are spaced pretty tightly between each other and i find it kinda hard to get floss between them. especially between my molars! i should floss at least after every meal but i make a point to floss before going to bed after i've brushed my teeth!
Never due to being forced to floss so hard that I would always spit out some blood as part of being abused. The floss would always end up being bloody and my gums were healthy and disease free. My abuser was extremely obsessed with perfectly white teeth and absolutely nothing in between teeth that she’d force me to floss really hard by sawing the floss pick super hard to make sure nothing was left behind. You know how that one brand of floss pick claim to be unbreakable? It’s not true. I would go through six of them in one flossing and they’d pop out of the holder quite easily if you push down hard on the floss part. I stopped flossing since escaping from my abuser and cutting her out of my life because it brings back horrible memories of being made to floss until I bled daily as part of being abused. At least now my gums aren’t constantly being cut on a daily basis and they are still healthy and disease free.
I floss every night. When I had braces, I didn't floss as often, and now after having my wisdom teeth removed, it feels oddly satisfying to floss my back teeth.
