how many tools do you keep?

i try to have 2 of most tools (shovel, net, fishing rod, slingshot) along with 1 axe and 1 watering can in my pockets at all times

One of each. Stone axe instead of regular axe. When one has been used a lot, I customize. 40 slots is still not enough for me, so I could never handle two of each tool. Too bad the tool ring doesn’t remove the tool from our pockets.

Just one of each. I sometimes keep an extra stone axe or shovel.

Just one of each. If I'm using my shovel/axe/stone axe a lot then I have an extra one.

Just one of each, but I keep them in a specific order in my inventory. When one breaks, I replace it or buy a new one right away.
I usually have a regular axe with me as I chop a lot of trees haha

I usually just keep one each, but if I know I'll use a certain tool a lot, I'll keep multiples of it in my inventory so that if it breaks, I won't have to run and craft/buy another at nook's cranny

One of each plus a stone axe, wand, ocarina, ladder, and vaulting pole. Any more would crowd my inventory since what I do have takes up over one row.

If I'm headed to friends and will be watering a lot, I'll throw an extra can in. At home, I customize, so I rarely replace tools.

The first row of the pockets menu has one of each, but the tool wheel doesn't has the watering can or the normal axe, since I don't use those very much.

I keep one of each unless i saw some cute shovel on the store or something, then i would buy it and keep it on me along with the old one that i was originally carrying. My pockets fill up fast so having two of each in all times feels like it takes too much space for me.

I like to keep them all in my pockets: shovel, fishing rod, net, stone axe, axe (for chopping money trees), watering can, slingshot, ladder, vault (even though I don't use it), and customization kits. All 10 slots on the first row taken.

Out of habit, I still keep one of each tool with me. I honestly don’t know why I really need to still carry my ladder and my vaulting pole given that my island has been fully developed, but it’s handy to carry around just in case I travel to another island and I may somehow need it. I have a bad tendency of forgetting things before taking off for flight.
