How many house upgrades until you can move mailbox?

Anyone know? I just did the 2nd house upgrade (no additional rooms yet) but still can't move the mailbox.

I think I unlocked the attic, but not the basement, before I could move the attic...? So that would be after 4 additional rooms! But hopefully someone can confirm or clarify this timing for you.

You need to upgrade it enough to get one side room and you can move it! It will always be the left side room that's upgraded first.
In total you should have your main room upgraded, back room, and one side room.

Haha I actually thought it would be after more upgrades too but this is fresh in my memory since I recently made a house specifically to move my mail box and make a post office area :'D Glad we don't need to upgrade fully just to move it!
