A dedicated field of 266 Blue Roses = 26 Blue Rose Wreaths @ 20k bells + 1 Blue Rose Crown @ 12k bells = 532k bells for about fifteen minutes work plucking and then crafting. Flowers fully regenerate every third day. Way easier than turnips!
Now I'm basically just collecting money to see if I can get to a billion bells as a new personal in-game goal. It's funny though, I still get sad at the 20% after hours Nook Box when I'm selling like a sea bass or whatever even though I'm making a hundred times more on flowers anyways
None at all that I've seen. This is on a raised plateau and you can also see another flower bed at certain angles as well with another 60 or so flowers too, but I haven't seen any lag. Maybe because they're all the same flower over and over it doesn't cause as much trouble?
The thread title sounds like one of those scam posters I see on the side of the road talking about making 400k a year from your home...but for real that’s AMAZING. My favorite flower in the game is the blue rose so it’s cool seeing a huge field of them.
If it were a perfect square, it'd be a little bigger than 16X16 (256 + 10). But the plateau is unusually shaped so it's not a perfect square (I kept the shape more or less like it was when the island was generated), but here's what it looks like in the grid of the map if that helps-- it's the big light green area in D-2 and surrounding squares
Niiiice! Good info to have. I have yet to breed a blue rose (not for lack of trying, mind you), so I might be giving you some bells soon, that way I can just get one or two and clone them.
Stick with it! It feels so much better when you grow one yourself. I actually grew all of these and only called on extra waterers at the very beginning and once near the end, because you can use the odds and cloning/breeding to your mathematical advantage at a certain point with carryover. Getting one is the hard part, after that it's just about cloning.
DIY is such a great money-maker. There's a reason why I supported "Hot Items" so much and always suggested it. After a while, you really start to notice which items sell for little effort.
I didn't have blue roses for a while, but I did have an absurd amount of purple pansies. One cool pansy wreath is 4800 Bells. Now I've been doing blue rose wreaths for 20,000 Bells each.
