How does the fishing tourney work?

The way the fishing tourney works is you have to catch as much fish as you can in 3 minutes. He then rewards you points for them. Normally 1 per fish unless you catch at least 3, then he would give a bonus 2(ie. if you catch 2, you get 2, if you catch 3, you get 5, if you catch 7, you get 9) Points can then be exchanged for items. Every 10 points can be exchanged to 1 item. Since there are 13 different items, you won’t get duplicates for the first 13. Anything past that, you will get random duplicates from the pool of items. Also cumulative points are awarded with a trophy either gold, silver, or bronze depending on your points 300, 200, 100 respectively.
As for fish you caught in advanced, you can sell them to CJ for the amount he buys them at which is 1.5x the value the Nooklings will pay for.

All he seems to be talking about is when the fishing tourney will start? When will I be able to sell my fish?

After you participate and sell your fish, there would be a dialogue option that goes something like “something else” then you can choose to sell fish.

How are you suppose to get 130 points in 3 minutes? Can you do it multiple times a day?

You can do it multiple times from when it starts til 6pm.

I'm a little bit confused about the cumulative thing, English is not my native language sorry.
Does that mean I need in total 430 points if i want to get all items? Or do I just need to fish for 300 points and can use them all and turn them in for the items?

im pretty sure it means it’s total points you collect over time. So once you reach 100, you get the bronze trophy.I would assume you don’t have to save 100 points to get it.

you just need 300 points for the gold trophy. You can exchange the points for the items. It’s just the total points you have which will count towards the trophy. For example, I earned 130 points and exchanged for the items, I would get a bronze trophy in the mail the next day.

Nope, it doesn’t matter towards the event. It only matters towards how much CJ will pay you for the fish should you choose to sell to him.

My date is correct and unfortunately there isn’t a update for me , someone says it may because my Main building needs updating from a tent ?
