I know people complained about them overtaking in New Leaf, but that definitely isn't a good solution. @.@
I wish it was one shoot per week or something. I don't want to keep growing them because I don't want bamboo everywhere, only in a few areas of my island. The one bamboo shoot per plant is annoying for crafting special bamboo recipes. The only way I can get more shoots now is bamboo island or buying from someone online.
I agree with @sleepydreepy ... once a week would be great.
I only have a few shoots and dont TT so growing the amount I would like to fill my one area that I want to have a lot of bamboo is going to take a long time with the 1 shoot ever per adult plant.
All my extras I gave to a friend so they will have bamboo or used to craft stuff... dont want to trade to get more.
Guess I'll need to wait til these 4 finish growing to get 4 more. =/
It’s probably to push the sale and use of NMT. With the option to travel to a bamboo island the need for multiple spawns is a bit obsolete, even if the chances are slim.
As someone who refused to plant bamboo in new leaf because of how it behaved I'm really glad they changed it in new horizons! But if it only plants one seed EVER then maybe they could fix that to plant one seed every couple of days-week?
Tbh I kinda like that it doesn't grow as rapidly like in New Leaf because I remember it being such a pain in the ass to look after because it would get everywhere after several days for me.
