How do you use a face cut-out standee pattern?

I decided that I liked a King Tut face cut-out standee patterns and I finally unlocked Sable's machine. I put all four images into one slot that automatically labelled it "pro" and I thought I'd be good. I rushed to the spot outside to place it and it only placed the upper left of the image.

Grrr...do those not really work? Do I ignore the 3DS prompt and need four spaces? Can we really even place something 3-D-ish ourselves like Isabelle does, anyway?

Are you just trying to place the pattern on the ground? You need to have the face cut-out standee public work project build.

After the project is built, you can choose to edit it by using one of your saved designs or making your own design from scratch.

As Stacie said, build the PWP first, then go in front of it and press A. This should let you change/edit the pattern.

Oh...I had no idea! Thank you two so much! I'll get the PWP then. I feel so dumb now...but now it makes sense when you two explained it that way. Editing...I never thought of that.
