How do you organize your items?

The "1" is clothes. So I organize my clothes in this order: shirts, umbrellas, masks, headgear, accessories, socks, shoes, wetsuits, and other clothing. 2 is mostly about things to put there until further noticed (like hybrids or furniture) and my tools. 3 is stuff I put there that I need in the future + trading items.

C - Random furniture(and maybe clothing in the future) that I throw onto my alt just because I feel like it and don't want to throw them away. my alt is having a really wacky house right now.

currently dumping all my gyroids in one of the museum exhibits because I've seen people doing it and feel that it's a great idea

on my main and both of my pattern mules it goes like this:

A: trees, bushes, fish, bugs, fossils, and flowers are all mixed together. fruits are always on page 1A while tools are always 6A
B: clothing. sorted into categories that go as follows: tops, bottoms, dresses, socks, shoes, accessories, headgear, helmets, umbrellas.
C: furniture. sorted by type. green leaf, red leaf, walls, floors, music

and I have all four museum rooms for photos, outfits, and spare items

I organize my closet in an easy way to remember. I put every item in according to what the mayor character would put on first- hats. And when I've run out of hats to put in, I go on to accessories, then dresses, shirts, pants and socks/shoes. I start from head to toe, going down. And when I'm out of clothes to put in, I store my furnishings last. Wallpapers to floors to decor.

And if my closet is full, I usually put whatever I won't use anytime soon (but want to keep) in letters, and store them in the post office save slots. Writing what they are on the actual letter helps a lot.

I have OCD so it must be done perfect every time xD -

In my pockets - the first six slots on the left are for tools -
XX OO
XXOOOO
XXOOOO

In my closet -

A section is for furniture
B section is for gardening and tools, and misc items
C section clothes, umbrellas, hats, shoes and accessories

In my museum I store rares and things to be used in future homes
