How do you grow blue roses?

So I'm trying to grow roses of each colour. I've got red, orange, yellow, white and black. How do I make blue? I also have hybrid red rose.

You need two hybrid red roses grown from black roses in order to be able to breed blues

Isn't that the way to get blue roses in Wild World? I thought that in New Leaf that you needed a hybrid red from a purple or orange parent.

Oh god you're right! I'm so sorry OP! You need two hybrid reds from orange and purples!

it's also best to put it in a checkered pattern, if u don't have many hybrid reds add orange roses
once u have 2 blue roses, use them to make more. that's the best combination

It's best to just buy 2 of them from someone else and breed them unless you really want the gratification of breeding them yourself.
