How do you get a camper to decide go move in?

Are there things to do or not do? Several times I have really liked the villager in my campsite, but they always say they have to stay in their old town. Have I been doing something wrong?

If you have 9 or fewer villagers in your town, just keep talking to your camper and asking them to move in whenever they give you the prompt. They'll eventually decide they want to move to your town, even if they had been saying they don't want to move.

It sometimes takes a while. D: Marina took me something like 30 minutes of talking.

I have Tank at my campsite today. The 4th thing out of his mouth was "Lets play charades" to see if he would move in. I won, so Tank will be moving in a few days. I had him in WW and liked him. It has taken a lot of talking to a camper for them to suggest anything about moving in. If they say no to begin with, just keep talking and talking and talking. They can change their mind and move to your town.
