How do people get so many lucky clovers?

Most of the time when I see lucky clovers for sale, they're in bulk. Which is great, because I'm planning on buying some, eventually.... but for the life of me, I can't figure out how they get so many?

Do you just disable the "Beautiful Town Ordinance" and time travel a whole year in the future?

I don't want to do it (I love 7/10 of my villagers soososososososo much), this is more of just a curiosity thing.

That would be my bet. A LOT of time travelling.

After one year of gameplay, I have only found 5 lucky clovers.

first thing that comes to mind is excessive tting in cycle towns.

You'll get clovers even if Beautiful Town is turned on, but having it off and TTing helps to get a lot of them. I have two cycling towns and I've picked many lucky clovers ... but it takes many, many cycles to get even just a few. Your own in-game luck has to do with it I'm sure, as some times I could clear a whole town of weeds and clovers and pick only one lucky one and clearing on another day would yield four or five. It's a time consuming business to get a bunch of them (unless those selling are doing it the "other way").

I probably have a ton in my cycling town that I haven't found yet.
But as others have said, duping and time traveling. I've only found one lucky clover in my regular town in three months of playing, though, so I'd imagine they're pretty hard to come by even with a ton of time traveling.

You have to take off beautiful town and time travel a lot. I have travelled hundreds of years. I was very disappointed the first time I saw that 2050 looked the same as 2014. You need to go talk to Katrina to see what kind of day you are having too.. You need a lucky item day and wearing Katrina's good luck hat helps too. I prefer to sell in bulk because they don't cost that much and it's a pain in the neck to try to do that many small sales. I wouldn't tt that much just for clovers but I was also trying to do Leif's miniweeding game , get a Rafflesia and attend my birthday a lot. It's also a good way to buy up bushes, trees and Gracie items .

I got a lot from TT-ing/neglecting my town for a few months. You don't need to turn off the Beautiful Town ordinance, but it does help increase the clover spawn rate.

I TT'ed from a year to the next, which resulted in a lot of weeds so yeah :b

I've had the game more than a year, and I've never even had one. :/

I have been playing day by day in my first day and I have only found 3 >.< Ive kept them all in my Second Town where I have only found 1.
