I spoke to Phoebe and she said that Molly is thinking about moving. So, I ran over to speak to Molly but she didn't ping me so I tried speaking to her to see if she'd do the I'll miss you and I could stop her, am I too late :(

Just wait for a Ping from her, if they don't ping TT like and hour ahead and try again. Just don't skip a whole day because they could be in boxes by then. Once they're in boxes you can't stop them from moving. ><

There's a quick way actually!

1. Save and quit
2. Load op your game again
3. Walk up to Molly without any other villagers noticing you
4. Molly will ping you
5. ????
6. PROFIT!

try the wetsuit/diving trick used to get pings for PWPs, make sure you sneak around and see her first, she's more likely to ping you than someone else pinging you first. And tt to different hours in the day and keep trying. Just, like everyone said, don't TT past the day.

It's a holiday in my town (Easter) does this make a difference in her pinging me? What if I travelled backwards?

Yes, that does make a difference. Villagers don't ping on holidays. (I don't know about Easter, but maybe try late at night? I know the ping barrier is removed late at night on tourney days? I doubt that would work for Easter)

So you probably will have to TT. Just do one day, though, because you don't want to accidentally TT to her move out day!

I love you, and South Park.

Okay, am I safer TTing one day back or forward?
and Ami Mercury, I laughed so hard at this which is terrible in a funny way cause I'm at work :p

I don't think it makes a difference, it still counts it as one day regardless of whether you go back or forward. Say the game has decided that Molly will move on the 20th, which is four days from now, so if you tt back a day it she will move on the 19th instead, as it goes by number of days, rather than dates. I would personally tt forward to avoid confusion.

TT one day forward but make a new character instead of loading with your mayor.
Go to her house and she if she's in boxes.
If she isn't you can load with your mayor and get her to ping you.
If she is maybe try TTing to the day before easter?
