How do I hold a villager in boxes for a friend?

Hi, I have Maple in boxes for a friend. My friend can't pick her up today so... If I change the time back on today and past 6 a.m. , can I keep Maple in boxes for as long as I want?

i dont know why people always fumble with this 5:59, 6:00, 6:01am stuff... it's risky when you can just use 7am and onwards.

visiting other peoples town shouldnt be a problem.. HOWEVER, people visiting might accidentally talk to maple and she might move totheir town instead of your friends. so beware!
