How Do I Get Grass (Snow?) to Grow Back?

Just don't walk over the dirt. It should grow back in about a month. I guess. Might be shorter or longer.

Ah. So that's why I see so much dirt instead of snow. That's pretty lame, I kind of wish there was a way to change that. Oh well.

Walk and not run.

If you're running everywhere it wears away your grass/snow.
It'll grow back eventually.

Pretty much don't touch it. I've heard planting flowers helps, so maybe plant flowers over the patch and then try not to walk on it.

Time traveling a month is the easiest way to do it :) If you're opposed to that then just plant flowers on it and don't walk over it.

I've found that flowers don't affect it at all (in my town). As long as I don't walk on the area at all, the grass grows back equally as quickly for me with or without them!

Where a vollager has moved out, I planted half of it with flowers (the part beside the path so I wouldn't have to walk on the flowers to water any) and the other half left bare and it all grows the same

planting flowers AND watering them EVERY day boosts thew grow rate, managed to make a patch of grass grow back in about a week or two, opposed to the whole month you need for it to grow back by itself.

And yes, you have to STOP running, both on dirt nd grass/snow. If you feel the urge to run, lay some paths and run along it. The grass/snow below it will dissapear of course, but you won't notice it unless you remove the path ;)

People say that planting flowers and watering them over the patches of dirt will help grow grass. However, the thing that negates it is walking over the patch of dirt and flowers to get to other flowers and water them.

The slowest way is not to walk over the dirt at all. I've definitely seen this before with a little TTing when I was trying to cycle someone out.

However, the fastest way is to TT a month forward and then a month back. However, you need to have Beautiful Ordinance and stop a villager from moving before attempting this or else you will lose a villager and your flowers will be wilted and dead.

I also found that planting flowers did not work. By the time I walked out to water everything, I was walking on. What I found worked for me was to plant trees. I noticed in one area that had been bare and then had a tree, started growing grass. It could just be that it prevented me from walking there and that is why it grew, but it worked nonetheless.

I do find though that the snow if filling in MUCH faster than grass ever did. I have areas that have been bare since the end of June and now they are filling in with snow.

I sort of have a theory too that if you play "too much" you get grass wear. I always walk on my paths but I'll play far too long on a weekend day and seem to get a ton of deterioration. That is completely speculation though.

i had a full day snowstorm yesterday and in places where i hadnt had grass in in i could tell you how long it was beginning to grow back in the form of snow coverage. i couldnt believe it as i knew i had been walking around alot the day before. however today i had built the snow lady and played for many hours searching for snow flakes. so lets see what happens tomorrow.

We would be doomed if this is true! No grass for everyone! Ahah!

Apparently, both from info online and personal experience, there are also random spots in your town that just hate to have grass that at least deteriorate faster and regrow slower, and some never seem to heal at all.
I'm not sure if grass can grow there at all, as there are spots that just have not restored over a month or so of flower watering on them(no walking on it). Meanwhile, I TT'd only a week-ish forward, and an empty spot left by a house almost completely refilled itself.

Simply put, if you just have to undo the damage, put Beautiful Town in effect(minimize weeds) and TT a while forward.
If it isn't regrown then, it probably never will.

Luckily, my snow-grass is starting to grow back. :) Thanks for the advice, guys. I didn't walk on the dirt at all and it's growing quite quickly, now. :)
