This thread is for those that resetted their villager house places, so please don't bother answering "I let them move where they want" etc.! ^^

So, how did you decide it?

Look at my signature~
That row down there is my residential district, and it continues with the row that includes the police station! I wanted Merengue to be my next-door neighbour and Marshal to come after her so that's how I resetted them!

That one house that is away from the others is also exactly where it should be! My cranky Avery lives in a pine forest away from all other villagers! :D

The last two houses I didn't even really reset. Ribbot up there was one of my original five, and I'm not sure if I even reseted Phoebe next to him. Either way they go there really well, they live apart from the others but next to each other, kind of out-of town. Ribbot's house is really perfectly placed, since he can jog a long way into the town through the citrus forest next to the caf?! (The town center plaza is in front of the caf?!)

I started my town with the 3 houses on the left and the (two horizontally lined) houses on the right which was great beacuse I wanted to make a residential area. I would love to have them lined up like yours but I dont have the patience ._. So Generally if they are south of the river I'll let them stay lol

I wanted most of my villagers to be on the smaller section south of the river. Kabuki and Marina are the two above the river. Kabuki was a starter, so I could chose where he went, and when Marina put her house perfectly in line with his, I let her stay because I had been resetting for her for a long time and she wasn't destroying any paths, flowers, or trees.

ohh how do you do that. can someone send me a link or where I can find instructions for house placement. I would appreciate it so much.

In Bluebell, Bam and Lily were random so I worked around them. I knew I wanted a line at the bottom and I know I wanted it to be Poppy>Marshal>Stitches <333 I've been trying to get a villager next to bunnie for so long but they never plot there >.<

How did you guys get those villagers in one area? Mine are scattered all over the place :x A residential area looks really nice. Mannn!

Yeah that method works, unless your villager only cycles through 2-3 spots and never a new spot. Which is quite annoying. I like your maps a lot! ^^

Haha I was thinking the exact same thing! There was nothing wrong with the placement, unless he didn't want to put a path around that area.

You also need to place PWP:s in spots where you don't want them to move. (Place the max amount possible.) I would have never ever gotten my map otherwise.

If you demolish a PWP and then have a villager plotting the next day can they move in the place the PWP used to be?

Yes.

As long as there is space around there to move in. PWP:s need like 2-3 or sometimes maybe even 4 (I think with benches) empty spaces in different directions and houses need like 2 too. I don't remember that clearly anymore.

thanks for video. for now I just put character houses in the big places I didn't want them to move into. I didn't know about plot reset.
