how can i keep the red rings away

it is just a flaw in the 360 and they will give you a new one if it happens it happened to my friend but you might just want to make sure no dust gets in it

Until it actually gets the rings, just make sure there is enough air getting to it, it's clean and free of dust.
Then once it gets them, if you really want to, you can try the Towel trick. But that is only temporary.
So, either send it off to Microsoft, or just buy a new one.

Umm...i'm sorry if i sound noobish but:
What are the Red Rings? sorry, but I know nothing about the 360. :P

The "Red Rings" or Red Ring of Death as they are commonly known is a sign on the Xbox 360 once its completely screwed. ^^

There are several types of Rings.
2 Lights is overheating
3 Lights is the Mother board going.
1 Light is something also to do with the Mother board. (I got this)
4 Lights is a cable is out at the back/or broken.

RINGS OF DEATH! epic fail..........i had 2 get a new one >.<
Tbh, 360 are very unreliable.
My friend's got RRoD twice, and now the disck tray isbroke, it wont read anything.
So yeah,

My dad has a 360.
One time, he turned it on and had the red ring of death and immediately turned it off, it still works fine. c=

The new Jasper model of the 360 is suppose to have a lower chance of getting the Red Ring of Death. However, I hear that the Jasper models are only in the Arcade bundels right now.

I get a Red light pop up every now and then, turn it off and on again, seems fine for now. ^_^

It doesn't happen as commonly as it may seem, so don't worry too much about it, just make sure it keeps cool. My brother's 360 gets hot loads of times, but he's yet to get them. But, we fixed the fan, so I doubt it'll happen.

How to never get the Red Rings: Get a different system.
Why would you not get 360 because of one thing that doesn't happen too much? The 360 is a great console, and has lots rather good games for all ages. >_>

Get a PS3 intstead
1. It has most of the same games
2. It has better graphics
3. It never brakes down.
4. Online is free
Only get a 360 if ur a halo fanboy
