How can I get villagers to move out without time travel?

I really want Mott to move out of my town. Do you guys have any little tricks to get a specific villager to move out? I've heard of the ignoring method, but he's one of my original 5 so I've already interacted with him multiple times.

Also, how many days does it typically take from the time you reach 9 villagers to the time a villager wants to move? Not a single villager has approached me with the wish to move. Is it possible that villagers will just never want to move out?

I don't do time travel, so please don't suggest it.

You have two options. One of them involves TTing, so I'm not going to go into detail about that.

You mentioned that you interacted with him multiple times. That doesn't matter with this method. Start a new character, go through the tutorial, blah blah blah, and introduce yourself to everyone. Now, talk to the ones you want to keep, and skip Mott and the unwanteds. Thought not fully proven, it's said that talking to them twice puts you on a "friendship ladder", which is hard to get out of. However, if you just introduce yourself, there is no friendship ladder, and after a week, they are classified as "unwanted", and they will leave in about a week.

In my case, the ones I talk to most are the ones who want to move out all the time, I don't think they like me

Im currently trying the ignoring them method for one week ( since friday ), hope it works.

Even when the villager whom i want out ping me i'll run away.... ( maybe she ping me telling me she wana move and i miss out on that -.- )

I have tried the ignoring method. It worked one time, but the 8 other times i tried it, did not work. The only thing that worked consistently for me is to become their best friend. Get the friendship to the point they are about to give you their picture. Its as if they accomplished everything there is to accomplish so they want to move onto another town.

Oh, and I should say that when I do this, I try to talk to my other villagers only minimally, to increase the chance of the game picking the unwanted villager to move.
