Admit it, we all walked into our villager's home and think...wow...it looks terrible in here. I'm trying to remedy that by mailing them nice furniture or making them buy furniture in Retail but I don't think it's working that much. They just fill their houses with clothing, fish and bugs. They would remove their music players so it's awkwardly quiet or they would remove their beds so they sleep on the floor...standing up...

I have butchered a fair amount of my villager's houses, and by that I mean all of them. Not my fault they like shopping at Re-Tail.

Eh, Whitney's house is by far the worst in my town right now. She has 3 fish, no couch, and not too long ago she replaced her bed with a fossil of all things. I don't even remember selling one to her, I'd never do that! But she somehow ended up with one in her house. I was able to replace it with the pink rococo bed and it's an improvement but I need to try getting rid of the fish she has on display.

There was also one time Erik sold his couch and I guess I must've given him the retro stereo, and he put it where his couch used to be, facing the fireplace. Cozy. Now he has a computer in the middle of his floor because I guess he likes that sort of thing. He's not too smart.

I've been doing pretty well with my villagers homes this time around. Should have seen how jacked they were on my first save. I think one of my villagers replaced their bed with a giant dino torso, and they had 3 different fish on their dressers/tables, and like 3 shirts. 3 of the exact same kind of shirt too, which was even more ridiculous lmao

Now I know what favors to say no to. I'm kinda messing with Deli's house on purpose now, though. It's my goal for him to have nothing but pink/lovely furniture by the end of this year. It's half way done. It looks awful. Wish me luck. He requested this btw, so. Don't worry about him, he'll live.

Ah...yes. Villagers prioritizing their fossil collection over comfortable sleep. I remember that all too well. Wtf is wrong with these critters? I mean I know they're wild animals that live in the forest and could probably live with sleeping on the floor or under a tree or something, but geez. C'mon, guys. Get some help.

Right now none of them are too bad. I've been giving them rare fish when they ask for fish though and so now a lot of their homes have quite a few huge fish. They take up so much space and they won't let me buy them either. :x Anyone know how to get big fish out of their homes? lol Will sending them a big piece of furniture like a kitchen table remove it?

God I literally laughed out loud when I saw yours had done the EXACT same thing, fish and all lmao. I need to take a leaf out of your book and start turning them down, these poor idiots don't know what's good for them.

I butchered Marshal and Fauna's houses long ago. Then, when I discovered I liked to keep my villagers' houses nice, I tidied up Diana's, Stitches's, and Merengue's, and kept Ankha's, Rosie's, Maple's, and Julian's mostly original. I was keeping Ketchup's house in good condition but I'm replacing her with Chelsea in about a week so I'm giving in to all her requests in order to get her picture before I kick her out.

I havent really messed any of their houses up which is pretty rad. I tend to be too lazy to give them furniture anyway sooooo. XP

The only villager I half-tried to mess around with was Puck. But he was too set in his icy ways, so he moved away with a pretty-much intact house.

The other villagers don't need any encouragement to dismantle their homes.

I've never purposely tried to change a villager's house, but I've been trying to keep them fairly original until I have the time to focus on that. You should have seen my Wild World town though, man. I was about 9 at the time and I think Peanut's house ended up being 100% fish.

Oh I absolutely destroyed Fangs house. It's one of the reasons I decided to let him go and hopefully I'll get his amiibo card so I can move him in again sometime. Literally his house was just filled with odd furniture and about 4 different fish. By the time he had changed half his stuff I decided I might as well just give him anything he asks for. I did the same with Fauna only her furniture was at least more matching
Trying to be more careful with my new villagers as I really like their houses, especially the Sanrio and LOZ ones.

I haven't messed up too much of my villagers' homes, except for Tangy's home. Her house used to be citrus based but now she has a fish on the table, a bug where the radio used to be and her TV is always off whenever I visit even though it used to be always on.

I really try to just have them leave their furniture alone. I don't know why the game has villagers cycle through items in their home over time, it's always been a bit strange to me.
I never let them sell me stuff, and I filled all the spaces in Re-Tail with lame items priced at 999,999 to discourage them from sabotaging their houses. With your efforts, they still find a way somehow but it should take a lot longer.

I transformed Drago's house into an abomination. I don't know why I gave him the mushroom table and a robo-tv a couple years ago, but I did. I haven't played in that town for a little while, but I'm pretty sure he has a bee or other fish or bug on the mushroom table, so I can't even buy the table back from him and get it out of there.

Terrible. My villager's houses are a mess, except for Lolly since she just moved in. I think Fauna's house is the worst, she has a basketball hoop and princess lamp right next to each other. And Rosie has these giant fish tanks in her room. It looks hideous.

I just have to say that fish and ballon furniture are the new decoration trend in my town.

Molly's house in my old town was crap.
lol no music, no bed. All clothing. :(

One of my villagers had a Japanese theme going on, and I didn't know that whatever piece of furniture you gave them, they actually put it on display. I gave Gladys and Curt random kiddie furniture and patchwork furniture. LOL!

The good thing is that sometimes they'd give their stuff to Re-Tail, or ask for another item to replace the one they have, and then I make sure that I give them furniture that actually match.

my old villagers had like nothing in their homes, but now i'm smart and filled my retail with really expensive **** so they cant sell their stuff away.

i completely ruined everyone's houses on my old town. then i tried to get them good items but they'd place it in bad spots. now i try to keep them as original as possible
