So, I'm terribly late to this game. I've had it for at least a year but it's been sitting on my shelf until I randomly decided to pick it up last week. A quick note before I continue -- I don't really have patience for games nowadays, and text mysteries/adventures are the only ones that hold my interest.

Initially I was frustrated with the game because of the slow text scrolling speed, but I got used to it... and I'm glad I did. I won't post spoilers, but what an amazing game/story... seriously. If you haven't played it yet, do yourself a favor and hunt down a copy. If you dig Phoenix Wright you'll love this, for sure. The art style is really good, too - very noir, right up my alley.

Has anyone played the game? Love it as much as I do? Can't wait for the sequel to be localized?

Oh yeah, that was a brilliant game. And I wasnt even aware there was a saquel. (well, i knew there was one in the making, but...)

Have you played another code?? (Trace memory in the states) It's considered the spiritual predecessor to hotel Dusk...

I have Trace Memory sitting on my shelf... collecting dust. Gave it a try a couple months back, didn't dig it for some reason. The plot wasn't that great... I dunno. Maybe I'll give it another chance.

And yes, there is a sequel. Been out in Japan for a month, apparently.

David told me about this game a while back. I wanted to check it out, but I never have the money, and when I do, I find other things to spend it on. I've heard it's really good, but mystery games really don't catch my interest.

The plot starts to pick up speed after a while, but it's a good bit more abstract than hotel dusk...

Mm, you should totally check it out. Text adventures aren't for everyone, but have you ever played any of the Phoenix Wright games? This is kind of like that... except more interactive.

Oh, I really loved Trace Memory. It has a very high replay value because I think the ending is determined by how many flashback the ghost (I can't remember his name) sees. I haven't played this game yet.

Hmm, yeah, I guess I'll check it out again. Will probably end up starting a new file, seeing as I forgot everything that happened... the only thing Cing needs to change for future games is the whole "let's do a recap quiz so the casuals can follow along" thing. It got annoying, fast... but it's a small gripe, all things considered.

They made a wii, sequel, only released over here in Europe and Japan...

It bombed...

... :( How did Trace Memory sell? Not well enough to justify the sequel's release, I'm guessing...

But, I'm fairly certain that Last Window will be localized -- Hotel Dusk sold well enough to warrant a reprinting, branding the "Touch Generations" logo the second time around... Hopefully we hear something about it at Nintendo's conference this Wednesday.

Yeah, it's a shame...

But at the same time, it's cool to have an indie game as well...

And I'm fairly certain that hotel dusk did OK

I've been interested in this game for a while, I like the art style a lot at least. And I loved the Phoenix Wright games, so I think I'd like this.
