Hmm... Try and do a Google search... But maybe I can find something in my Biology book... hold on.
 
I tried a Google search and it said it was part of interphase...but I'm not sure if that's right or not.I thought they were two totally different stages. :wacko:

I'll pull out my Biology notes....

This is the Interphase:

-Normal-looking cell
-G1 - Growth 1, cell grows to mature size
-S - Synthesis, DNA is copied
-G2 - Growth 2, cell prepares for division
-G0 phase - Cells that exit the cycle after the G1 phase (Example being the cells in the central nervous system)

I just did this stuff so ask any questions.

i should know this... seeing how i took that class last year... all i remember from the class though, was catching a fish with my bare hands... and frog guts... >_>
