Have any Holiday Movies you really enjoy or ones you find yourself watching most winters?
Needing some ideas for this coming week. ☃

My favorite holiday movies to watch are all popular.
  • Home Alone 1 and 2
  • How the Grinch Stole Christmas (og version)
  • Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer ❤
  • Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer
  • Santa Claus is Coming to Town (second favorite)
The newest addition to my list is Klaus from Netflix.

Some years I watch Arthur's Perfect Christmas because it reminds me of my early childhood. However, I wouldn't recommend watching that one unless you grew up watching the show.

-The Santa Clause and The Santa Clause 2
-A Christmas Carol(1984 version with George C. Scott)
-Miracle On 34th Street(the original 1947 film)
-A Charlie Brown Christmas
-Scrooged(not for everybody but I think it's funny)
-The Year Without A Santa Claus(1974 television special)

Aside from all the ones already listed, a short one if you don't have a lot of time is Charlie Brown's Christmas special.

I love the following movies:

Muppets A Christmas Carol
Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
Polar Express (😭😭 all the hate for it... ya it's a little uncanny valley but I love trains lololol)
The Grinch
Klaus on Netflix is cute, I'll be watching it again this year!!

I also like the romcom While You Were Sleeping, it's set at Christmas. The premise is ... not the best lol but I love Sandra Bullock 💕

I always watch The Santa Clause and Little Women (1994) every year. Krampus is a lot of fun too!

Good choices on ones above me! Ok, I'm going to say It's a Wonderful Life, White Christmas, The Holiday, and Unaccompanied Minors. If you have Disney+, Noelle is a sweet movie!

I will check out Klaus since I see that it is on Netflix now.
Mom and I watched a couple of movies yesterday on netflix and they were nice. Both came out in 2020.
Jingle Jangle. That one was pretty neat. The other was a foreign film (to me) called The Claus Family which I found cute.

Jingle All The Way. Pretty much the essence of what Christmas actually is: parents practically killing themselves to get the newest fad gift and there's also cookies.

the princess switch movies on netflix. they're over the top as you'd expect from this type of movie but silly and entertaining 🎄 ✨

A year is simply not complete without at least twenty viewings of Jingle All the Way. If anyone should ever make the suggestion that they had happy holidays and loving families, but never watched Jingle All the Way, then they're probably right, and I am glad for them. But I still recommend watching it. It's not a "good" movie, but it's an extremely entertaining movie. It is stupid and outlandish in such a way that should make it unwatchable for anyone over the age of 10, but somehow it all fits together in a way that makes it strangely endearing.

I do enjoy rewatching a lot of the Christmas specials from my childhood as well, and was rather depressed when they stopped showing the original Grinch cartoon on television every year.

I also rather enjoy The Santa Claus with Tim Allen. Not any of the sequels, though.

me and my mother love watching really cheesy rom-com christmas movies. here's a few, all on netflix !
- a christmas prince (1,2 & 3)
- the princess switch (1,2 & 3)
- holidate
- lovehard

This is technically a Halloween movie, but The Nightmare Before Christmas is great imo, one of my favorite movies. I'm pretty sure it's on Netflix, but if not then it's definitely on Disney+. Hope you enjoy it if you decide to try it!

I tend to watch Charlie Brown, especially the holiday collection! Something about it is both somber and familiar and warm, which are feelings I associate deeply with the winter.

I also am admitting this with some deep, deep shame but I also sometimes watch the season zero Barney the Dinosaur Christmas special episode... it's so creepy because it's like... proto-Barney... but I can't help it! I grew up on Barney...
