Welcome to the forums! I cant tell if you play any Animal Crossing Games (since the forums is revolved around it, HENCE the name The Bell Tree Forums) But all is welcome!
If you want me to give the basic lowdown of the forums, keep reading! If not, just dont ;P
So basically, the main idea of our wonderful forums is usually to play with other people, trade, or just chill! (I would definitely suggest talking blabber with other people, wastes time) There are, in fact, events. Like the one we have right now, the bell tree fair of 2017! We have had a couple of fairs by now, (since around 2008-2010) So, the current theme is retro gaming.
We have an in-game currency, TBT (The Bell Tree) Bells, which can be exchanged in-game for 200k in-game bells (IGB) EACH. If you dont own the game, dont worry! You can spend TBT on add-ons, collectibles, or even other stuff people are selling on other games! (Pokemon is a good example!) And even art!
On the topic with add-ons, you currently have 10 seashells you can use in the forums shop! It is primarly used for decoration, and a tiny bit of other uses (changing name, avatar width extension, mailboxes)
To go to the shop, you see the big tree with the retro stuff on it? There's a hot bar (or is it something else) with buttons that say (Forum Home) (AC World) that type of thing. You will see the button (Shop).... Click on it!
You will be presented with the forum shop! There are currently three shops ATM (at the moment) The Fair Shop , where you can spend your hard-earned tickets for IRL items or just forum items! There is the regular bell tree shop, where you can spend your TBT for collectibles or add-ons! And then, the Kapp'ns Shop. This is where you will spend your seashells. Choose wisely, as only new members get 10 shells. They can't earn/trade it to anyone except when joining.
(I continually love to blabber, it also nets me some TBT I can use for future use!)
