I need to start getting Pokemon soley for this mode, because it's getting frustrating. I want the Lucarionite and I wasnt happy when I found out that I had to go through all this .-.

I'd recommend using Serebii's Pokedex, there's a contest mode which you access by clicking the big ribbon at the top right of the page, next to the links for attacks, locations, egg moves, etc. It helped me build my Pokemon for the contests, since it gives a good overview of which moves on a Pokemon appeal in which categories, and how much they appeal/jam.

For the rest, it's often up to dumb luck, though. I found this to be the case with the Toughness contest especially, though maybe that was because I was using Steelix with a fairly mediocre set.

Actually, Lisia is pretty hard, and when you're up against her and you don't have a Mega Stone, you gotta do TWICE as good, or else Prince Ali (Her Altaria) will DESTROY YOU!
 
Fine. I'll tell you a headcanon I have with her.

It started when a Ralts named Chester, already fabulous on his own, was reading about Lisia. She came to Route 102 from somewhere far away, approached the guy, and told him a nice compliment. His love for her had begun. Days later, he met another girl, this time one named Desiree, and she had no knowledge of Lisia until they went to the north of Slateport, and even then, she knew something was up with her. Thus, began the start of an important sub-story..

Chester would go to great lengths to impress Lisia, even calling her "his princess". It wasn't until they went to Fallarbor when they found out her TRUE secrets. She was a siren all this time, and was only using Chester's affections (and a man named Chaz, as well as a Machoke named Macherie) to aid in her victories, and to dominate Hoenn, and the lands beyond it! Later, Gym Leader Wallace had fallen under the spell of Lisia's plans after seeing her for the first time, and when she was done, she broke it to him that Lisia was somehow part of Wallace's family! How was this possible? Let me tell you...

It wasn't just because they shared a similar hair color. The true story goes like this. It began 17 years ago, in Sootopolis, where Wallace and his brother were relaxing. A beautiful woman was seducing everyone in town, including the brother. The woman came over to Wallace's house, and asked to have a mating ritual with his brother. The brother agreed. When they were done, the brother had seen that the woman was not a woman after all, but instead, a siren, and had been impregnated by him, after which she took off to the skies! Nine months had passed, and the siren had given birth to three more sirens. They were color-coded: The red one was named Maria, the green one was christened Helia, and the blue one was called Lisia. They flew down to the ground, where they went their separate ways.

This ends the headcanon.
 
I was completely dragged through the floor and kicked out of there the first time I entered a contest. I gave it a go using a Munchlax without any contest stat boosted. They kept making it nervous and unable to perform, so I got barely any points. It was so embarrassing that it made me want to reset. After that, I think Lisia stayed there waiting, but I RAN and never went back.

I had my comeback during the post-game, tho. Went in there with a Jigglypuff with maxed contest stats and swept through every category and rank without losing once. Lisia's Altaria didn't stand a chance. I haven't faced Wallace on a contest yet but I'll be coming after him too one day. Mwahahaha! :rolleyes:
