Yeah. Just post anything here about contests from the Hoenn remakes. Anything from Ensemble Darkhorse Lisia (who I'm pretty sure has family ties to Wallace...), to the Pokeblocks, to the 1st Pokemon you entered in a contest in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire.

even if i was the only person who liked the berry blender/crush minigame i still wanted it to return
i was so phenomenally excited to play it again and now im disappointed
 
Well, a popular theory for that is the Berry Blenders got smaller over time.

But let's cut to the chase. What do you think of Lisia? Personally, I love to hate her.
 
She's... I mean, she's whatever. She's cute, but kinda annoying, with that typical "Idol!" personality ripped straight from a shoujo manga. Like, I can't hate this kind of character- she isn't anywhere near a bad person. But she's very generic, so I get why people wouldn't like her.
The most remarkable thing about her, I find, is that she gifts you an outfit that is an exact copy of her own outfit. That made me laugh. Naive egoism & blind narcissism at it's finest~.
EDIT:// though it may stand to reason that she only has one kind of outfit in her wardrobe for contests and that's why you get her same outfit... but that would ruin that moment for me, so :T

Lisia is v kawaii and i only enter cute cosplay pikachu in all contests
 
I've finished all the contests' Master ranks three times for the reward, so I'm pretty much done. I never faced off against Wallace, and I have no idea how to (or any interest to do it really).

Steelix for Tough, Gardevoir for Clever, (shiny) Audino for Cute, Mawile for Beauty, and Beedrill for Cool.

The way I see it, she's using that personality as a masquerade for her EVILLY EVIL PLANS to use her popularity to brainwash everyone and take over Hoenn, what with being a siren and all, but that's just my headcanon.

Dledleewhoop the Kricketune for Coolness,
Rainie the Castform for Beauty,
Chester the Gardevoir for Cuteness,
Nurse Redheart the Audino for Cleverness, and
Elsa the Frosslass for Toughness.

Hey... My Cuteness and Cleverness lineups are basically yours, but swapped! And MY Audino isn't shiny!

I'm using the May's team from the anime
So far I've beat the Master Rank with Beautifly, and I have Blaziken to use as well.

they are related, Wallace is her uncle

I loved the berry blender minigame in the old R/S/E games! I was so disappointed when I heard that it wasn't going to be in ORAS!

As for Lisia...she sort of annoyed me from the very start. I agree that it does indeed feel like she's some sort of cookie-cutter popular idol character taken straight from a shoujo anime/manga.
I actually found it disheartening to have been "scouted" by her; I enjoy underdog stories, and entering into the contests as a no-name back in the original R/S/E games and making your way to Master rank while crushing the berries into pokeblocks yourself was fun and interesting.

Not as interesting.
I did enjoy being momentarily confused when the situation occurred (since it doesn't happen in the original), but then that quickly faded to annoyance. Let me find the contest hall on my own!
 
But she makes me think of...


The Dazzlings represent Lisia and her Altaria, named Ali, and the G4 Core 7 represent Dledleewhoop the Kricketune, Rainie the Castform, Chester the Gardevoir, Nurse Redheart the Audino, and Elsa the Froslass. Oh, and Vinyl Scratch represents Macherie the (female) Machoke.

But all the characters you're pitted against in the contests were scouted by her as well. It's the only way to get a Contest Pass, and she does mention that you're the 100th person she's scouted. It's not really that special, it's just that you're the only person you ever see getting scouted.

Including Wallace, her uncle, and Chaz, her boyfriend! By the way, the way she scouts people, she charms them or their Pokemon, which happened to Chester the Gardevoir, due to being a siren, but that's just my headcanon.

people should just learn by now that we cant expect anything new or good from gf because theyre making remakes more friendly to younger kids
lowering the difficulty by a lot, handing things to you, etc
