Hi everyone, my name's Robosparks, but call me Robo. ;)

I'm new to the Animal Crossing series. I played the tiniest bit of 'Let's Go to the City' (About 2 days) but that's about it. I'm about 4 days into New Leaf and I'm already having tonnes of fun! The name of my town is Starwind and my current villagers are:

  • Rosie
  • Pudge
  • Annalise
  • Nana
  • Hippeux
  • Camofrog
  • Antonio (He's moving in)

Right now I'm loving Rosie, Pudge and Camofrog, but I dislike Hippeux and Nana. If anyone has any tips for getting villagers to stay or leave, I'd appreciate it! :)

Well, I guess that's it from me!

hi robo! the current way I get villagers to move out is by talking to them until they wont talk to me anymore and tting 2 days forward and its worked every time ive tried, the only time it didnt being when another villager was set to ping to move, but if you dont want to dabble in time travel just yet (& I recommend you let all villagers move in before you do) them the thing that's worked best for me is just to talk to them a lot, but some people have more luck with being mean to them.

I don't know if I want to time travel, I prefer realism, but I'll keep it in mind, thanks!

Hey Robo! I've watched a video that explains the best way to make villagers move out, they tested three ways (speaking to them, ignoring them or hitting them). If you speak or beat them you're immedietely placed on the friendship ladder and it takes forever to get off that ladder. I suggest you just ignore the characters. You'd need to introduce yourself and then just ignore them. Don't speak to them at all, even if they get the little exclamation mark and run to you. Do not speak to them. If you just ignore them they'll move out within a week. But if you've spoke to them more than once, create a new character and introduce yourself to everyone as usual but continue speaking to those you wish to keep and don't speak to the ones you don't want. And there you go. They're gone.

That was alot, I'm sorry, haha. But I hoped I helped! Oh, and welcome to the forums!

Welcome to TBT, Robo! We have a huge section dedicated to AC Discussion, so if you ask your questions there, you'll find plenty of people willing to help you out.

My advice is to run by each villager each day. If you become good friends with a villager, it's more likely they will ask you about moving, so in order to control it, run by each villager and talk to every villager as many times as possible while playing. Sometimes they are stubborn and don't ask the first time you run by them.
