HH Showcase?

I have never used the HH Showcase before. I've never even used Spotpass before! Anyone with advice on how to use HHS or tips and tricks related to it, I would appreciate it! Meanwhile, I'm gonna see how the heck I'm supposed to get people to have their homes displayed at all.

In order to get houses in the HHA Showcase, you have to Streetpass other people who also play New Leaf. If your 3DS (or 2DS) and their 3DS come within a certain proximity of each other while they are on and in sleep mode, they will Streetpass. I can't remember if Wifi has to be turned on as well, but I think it does.

It's really difficult to get Streetpasses now since the 3DS and New Leaf are no longer heavily played. I got my Streetpass badge by streetpassing my husband's 3DS and my second 3DS over and over. So I only have like 2 houses in my showcase and they're ours.

I've heard about Spotpass as a way of getting things too, but I don't really know how that works because I think it was already a dead feature when I started playing 2 years ago.

Yeah, it’s pretty tough to run into a streetpass nowadays. It’s literally been years since I got my last one. Super cool feature but it kinda died as the system’s lifespan went on.

The best place to get streetpasses I reckon would be a games convention, whenever that’s safe again

Spotpass was rarely used, just for specific nintendo employee/nintendo themed houses. The only distribution I can remember is that Reggie Fils-Aime had a house that was shared thru spotpass for a while

That's disappointing... I live in rural areas, and I have another ds, but only one ACNL gamecard... I know of nobody other than one person who MIGHT have a ds... Well, thanks for the help anyway
