Hey TBT :D

I'm extremely excited, I will be getting a Shiba Inu puppy soon! I have been following 4 different Shiba rescues in my area and one has a 5 month old puppy and the other has 7 very young puppies (about 2-4 weeks old).

I'm an approved adopter at both of these rescues, it's just a matter of a home check in my new apartment and that's it! While I'd like to adopt the 5mo, the rescue that has him is rather unresponsive and they had posted that a family was coming to see him. I sent an email to asking if he was adopted but they have yet to answer me. The rescue with the 7 puppies is extremely responsive and I just love them!

If I do not adopt the 5mo I plan to adopt one of the red or sesame males at the other rescue, my only problem is, we can't think of a name! We've had some ideas but none have really stood out to us. I don't want to go the overused Japanese name route, but I do want a unique name for my puppy!

I do have some themes that I would like to try find names related too; Art, Space and Video Games.

So TBT, can you help me name my puppy?

Tei
Hayabusa

Glad to hear you liked them. I kind of missed your note about the overused Japanese names, though... sorry about that. I just thought it would connect with one of your chosen themes and to its origin.

It's still a reference to a video game :D I don't mind that, I meant names like "Yuki, Kaito, Aki, etc"

My dogs name is spot but you can call him anything and he will come running to you lol but it has to be in the same tone you call him in when you actually call his real name

My pets have all had names related to their personality/appearance so that might work once you get the dog and see what it's like?

For art/video games, you could find a Shiba Inu from pop culture and name your dog after them

Female: Callisto or Pyxis

Male: Orion or Canis

Those are all constellations by the way

If it is a female, maybe Melody? Its a reference to the art of music and I think its a cute name

Well if its red or close enough or I really misunderstood, you should call it elmo :p
