Hi guys I'm new to this forum and recently bought a new 3DS Xl and ACNL, I'm just curious I see almost everyone has their 3DS friend codes on their profile, what do I gain out of adding friends on my console, I don't know anyone in my entire city who has a 3ds so srry if this is a stupid question. Also how does the bell system work I'm very confused D;.

for question #1 the 3ds FC ( or friend code ) lets other players from other cities visit your town and give you stuff/ visit / pick up stuff
usually in exchange for tbt of igb ( in game bells )
for question#2 the bell system works like this , you post five posts and you get 1 bell or something
you can also transfer bells to other players
