Listen guys, I don't have a wi-fi router, but I can still play online on the Wii,
but I have bad connection.
Do I have to buy a wi-fi router? If so, then which kind?

No, you can EITHER buy a Wi-fi router, in which case anyone will do, OR use an internet cable, this is all covered in the Wii instruction manual i believe
