So, I found a nice campsite sign to use for a standee but for some reason I can't use the sign.

I want to use the sign next to the PRO design but it's not working

I'm pretty sure I used a qr code on a standee in my last town, so I am not sure why it's not working? Thanks!

I did a quick lookup and I think I found the answer! So it looks like you can use qr designs on clothes, but for a standee, it needs to be made from you. Hopefully that answers your question!

So I have to make it myself.. I can't draw :/ but it's weird. I thought I used a qr code for a standee in my first town, anyway thanks!

Yeah which I find so silly since you don't have to do that for clothes :c If there's a tracing or step by step on how to make it that would help, but it would be so tedious. Sorry about that!

It's kind of a pain not being able to use them for signs, etc. :c I'm not the best at making designs like that, but if you save the qr to your computer and upload it to http://www.thulinma.com/acnl/ you can at least see the colors and pattern they used and maybe figure out how to make one of your own!

You can also use it to edit the designs so the game reads them as your own. This guide explains how:
