Well it really depends what your preferences are. Do you want alot of space around your house? Do you plan to put a garden or something next to your house? Do you want it close to retail? Do you want it next to some villagers?
Having preferences like these can make it much easier to decide on where to put your house![]()
Ah, I don't know what my preferences are! But you gave me some food for thought. Thanks![]()

lol You and I almost share the same map. Here's my map and my house placements:![]()
^my mayor's house is the yellow one
If I were you I'd put it to the very left of the map way above the villager house... So it's all in it's own little corner with the river
on one side and the ocean on the other.
I usually like the confined little "island" feel spaces for my houses. ^^ Hope that makes sense. You should place it where you think you'll love it most though!
Thank you... I see tons of good suggestions you have. I have one last suggestion for you! Be careful not to put your house near the river if there's going to be a bridge in the future. Because bridges need large space requirements to build.Oh nice, I almost a map like that. I love that little private beach![]()

Here's the requirement picture I made: http://animal-crossing-new-leaf-harvest.tumblr.com/post/65239389110/bridge-space-requirement
Sadly, the space requirement for bridge is ridiculous.Oh yes, that the first thing I thought of. I immediately thought of where I wanted bridges so I could avoid building my house near those areas. Thanks for the picture, I didn't realize it was THAT much space.
Also, I love your deer town!
Sadly, the space requirement for bridge is ridiculous.I made that picture because I lost so many villagers trying to build my third bridge on the left side of my river. Originally I wanted to build it near the cafe but Isabelle kept on denying me. So I chased two of my villagers out (demolished 2 million worth of pwp) and started counting the number of spaces I need for my 3rd bridge. I counted out a 12x12 space requirement.
Thanks for liking my deer town. I can't wait to see what you do to your second town! I'm going to ask Luna to help me stalk Disland tonight. xD
I love meeting new villagers through dreams too and I love leaving everlasting impressions on the villagers. xD I think it's funny when the villagers start talking "last night I had a dream about Cherry from Harvest. She seemed like a real bell-pincher to me." My friends tell me to stop stalking and harassing their animals all the time. ;pAw, yeah, I demolished my original bridge because I wanted all fairy tale bridges in my town. But I didn't realize that two villager houses were too close! Then Skye moved in by where I wanted the bridge (before I knew how to plot reset) and since she's never moving, I'm without my 3rd bridge. Ah well, I'm used to it!
That reminds me, I need to update my dream address! Haha. I'll be sure to visit yours as well! I'd love to talk to your deer villagers. I've only had Deirdre and I miss her dearly so that'll be nice. And I'd love to meet new villagers![]()

Oh I'm going to head to bed soon but I'll dream of your town to help me fall asleep. <3

^^^I'd probably put it on that little spot over by the beach entrance / waterfall.
