I finally got my last dreamie Marcel and today is the day before he moves in. I didn't think I'd have to plot reset him so I started as my mayor.

He moved into a horrible spot (right in front of town hall) so I quit without saving and restarted with a new save file. But his plot refuses to move!

Is it because I originally started with my mayor even though I didn't save? There's plenty of space everywhere in town. Because I might have to have him move and come back if that's the case (sorry @Byleth ). Please help me!

Hello !

Yes, he's not moving because your started the day with one of your characters and the town has been loaded for the whole day (when Isabelle was on screen), even if you didn't save afterwards.
That's why the reseting plot has to be done with a new character we save the game with when the new villager sets in a good spot.

So yes, you have to have him to move and come back again :(

Unfortunately once you start up your mayor, it saves for the whole day. That's why whenever you think there will be a plot on that particular day, you have to make a new character. After you plot reset with a new character, then you just save the new character and it's all good. :)

Make sure next time not to load your mayor by accident. XD

Darn, then I'm gonna have to move him out and get him again. ;-; Where he plotted is horrible. Thanks though, I'll keep that in mind from now on!

Just make sure to lay patterns down everywhere except the valid plot you want him to move to, with space in front of the door.

Load the game before 6.00am with your mayor and save. Then start a new file and you know the rest. ^_^

One way is to work around it, in front of town hall may not be too bad, placing actual paths and flowers can make it look good, because to move him out may be difficult, and to get him back you would have to move out 16 villagers, so if he’s a dreamie, then you should keep him.

And to also note, you would have to have a new villager move in so he can move out, the newest villager to move in can’t move out, so you would have to sacrifice another dreamie.

long story short: I don’t have think you should move him out, work with what you have!

I actually put one of my players in front of town hall when I still had my game.

I had a nice dirt path lined with bushes, clover and mushrooms with a zen light.

It looked good!

If your town is full, you can use a random amibo card to force him to move...then with a Marcel card you can have Marcel replace the random villager. It's faster than waiting for him to volunteer to leave. The only downside is you need the two cards to make it work...good luck!
