Help Me Build My Town/Frequent Open Gate

I'll add you folks when I get home tonight.

MTPockets, it may be because I hadn't saved and restarted the game - it may be because I hadn't done the ceremony and/or hadn't saved and quit between those two times. I left my gate open Wednesday night and kept it open until yesterday without saving and reopening, so there was no time for it to register. That's my guess, anyway. The bridge is up now, though

As for the shops, I don't know what that's about. Will it not let you on main street or just not let you go in? Does it say they're closed?

Most of the shops said they were closed, while the nookling shop said today's hours had been changed.
