No, that will just make them stay most likely. Like Mary said, befriend them. A LOT. Anyway, Lolly is somewhat popular on TBT, so you can trade her for millions. Good luck!

Yeah, I agree, befriending them does tend to make them want to move more. A little weird, I know.

Someone actually tested this, and an unwanted villager will move after about a week if you ignore it. It takes more time if you have interacted with the villager first. What I don't know is if it actually works, but I'm sure it won't hurt to try it out!
