Interesting use of it - didn't realise you could put a tree inside it (unless the photo shows an edited town).
I think I've only had the flower bed requested in one of my towns. Frustrating, some towns seem to get all the stuff I don't want.
I know, try the diving trick - haven't done so, way too laissez faire over this game, might try it, wouldn't do any harm.

That screenshot is actually from Happy Home Designer. There is ofc the flower bed pwp, which no, trees can't be placed in it.

You can plant them on a pattern in HHD though.

And what's wrong with "fake" paths anyway? I saw you shaming them in another thread as well. New Leaf doesn't have to be all 'natural things' I mean nobody owns a town full of animals in the first place, there's nothing natural about that to begin with.
