First of all sorry if this is the wrong place to post this.

Astrid wanted to leave yesterday and I told her she could go. Now a day later when she is supposed to be in boxes she is not. Will she still be going tomorow?

NOTE:
- I used a amiibo to force someone out the same day after Astrid asked to leave.
- I don't TimeTravel.

quick q: did isabelle announce that she was moving?
nope

If you are absolutely sure you didn't accidentally ask her to stay, then I have to think it's something to do with having two villagers moving at the same time that messes with how the game handles the process successfully.

There is a known and ongoing glitch where a villager stays in the boxes phase that seems to be triggered when someone has a villager moving out naturally coupled with a villager moving via the campsite at the same time.

I had this problem multiple times when I had a cycling town with amiibos. I assumed it was when somebody else gets kicked out at a similar time to the other villager. It was super annoying because I had to wait for the moving thought bubble cooldown as well

I think it's pretty common if you use amiibos sadly, it happened to me 3 times in a week of cycling

u Think she will still move but a day later? Or I glitched my game and she does not want to leave annymore?

I don't think she is glitched per say, but my guess is that she will have to have the thought bubble again in order to move out. I don't think she will move out a day later, unfortunately. :(

NOOOOEEEES I was 1 step closer to my perfect village! Takes forever without time travel xD

Thanks for your insights and fast reply's!

oh totally yeah, it just acts exactly as if you had said no to their request to move

the only solution would be to make sure you don't kick out someone on the same day someone else is moving out, unless someone has already adopted the animal moving out by talking to them

1 last question. Did the thought bubble go back on cooldown?

Maybe it's a sign that you should keep Astrid as she's just so frickin' cool.

You got lucky. Don't make the same mistake again!

🤣

yeah, I think they do.
in the recent datamine they found that saying no causes a 5-day cooldown and saying yes causes a 15-day cooldown. I'm not sure which would count since she didn't actually move out but honestly I think it might be 15 days since you answered yes to her request to move out
