Just joined because I've been seeing auctions for villagers and general trading and I find that concept very interesting! Have no idea what in boxes means, or how you make sure a villager moves to another specific person's island or anything like that, but I'll learn.

Hello and welcome! I'm still learning the ins and outs when it comes to multiplayer, especially, but I can answer this.

When a villager is in boxes, that's what happens when a villager asks to move. The next day (or that same day) they will be in their house packing up to move. When that happens, you can let a person into your village so they can ask that villager to come to their village

Oh interesting! So if they show up while they're in boxes, they can ask them to move there? I thought it would be random whether they did or not haha. Thanks for the reply!
