Hello Kitty Con

Sooo, did anyone hear about it or go to it? I went to the very first Hello Kitty convention last week (oct 30-nov 2nd). ^^;
I'm a huge Hello Kitty fan, so it was an amazing experience for me. I bought some good collectors items to add to my collection, brought my boyfriend along, and got tons of pictures. The lines were insane, and I think they oversold tickets with a venue too small. I got to see Yuko Yamaguchi, the head designer, and I heard Katy Perry went. Thoughts?

Oh, and I took this photo. (don't mind the random dude photo bombing the picture) I'd like to add in this detail haha. I'm confused as to why Sanrio says she's not a cat, but rather a personification of a cat. Anyway, this vintage product of a mirror here on display clearly says "I'm a white kitty cat"... Tsk tsk they made a mistake.

I am Hello Kitty obsessed. I need therapy...
I'm too far away so it didn't happen.. I hope they have another convention on the east coast next time.

I have a few friends that went. They seemed to enjoy it!

I'm pretty sure they already corrected themselves on the whole her not being a "cat" thing though..
There seemed to be misscommunication with the interviewer and Sanrio.
They said she is a cat technically. They compared her to Micky Mouse. Like how he is a mouse but with a human element.
They mentioned more like a gijinka of sorts
